Sharing Chart Data from EnergyCAP Online
EnergyCAP Online provides for sharing of graphical and tabular data for all PowerViews, including cut-and-paste compatibility with most common software applications. Follow the instructions below to share chart data.
To save a chart IMAGE:
- Display the desired chart in EnergyCAP Online by choosing the tab showing the chart you want to share.
- Click the Magnifying Glass icon associated with the chart. The Chart & Data window will open, displaying the chart graphic.
- To save a copy of the chart graphic to your computer, click the Download Image button to the upper right of the graph. The Select Location window will open.
- Use the Save in: field to specify where the file should be saved. Then click the Save button. The chart image will be saved in .png format to the location specified.
To save Chart DATA:
- Display the desired chart in EnergyCAP Online by choosing the tab showing the chart to be shared.
- Click the Magnifying Glass icon associated with the chart. The Chart & Data window will open, displaying the chart graphic.
- Click the Data tab at the top left corner of the Chart & Data window.
A tabular view of report data will be displayed.
- Click Copy to Clipboard. The chart columnar data will be copied to the Windows® Clipboard.
- Open the desired application (Microsoft® Word, Excel, etc.).
- Click Paste OR press the Ctrl-V keyboard combination to paste the data into the desired application.
The data will be pasted from the Clipboard to the application. - Save the data file using the process appropriate for the application.
